As we live our lives, we often encounter situations that feel difficult, and even out of our control. In response, we develop ways of getting through these experiences. At one point, those ways may have helped us feel safe, connected, or able to keep moving forward. Over time, though, they can begin to leave us feeling stuck or disconnected from the life we want to live. Therapy isn't about critiquing those patterns, it's about understanding them with curiosity, recognizing the strengths it took to survive, and deciding together what still fits and what no longer does.
I believe meaningful change begins with feeling genuinely understood. My goal is to create a space where you don't have to have everything figured out before you walk through the door. Instead, we'll make sense of your experiences together, explore the relationships and beliefs that have shaped how you see yourself and the world, and identify changes that feel authentic to who you are and where you want to go.
