Insurance & Fees

 

Transcend Counseling Chicago is in network for:

  • BlueCross BlueShield PPO, Blue Choice PPO, Blue Choice Options (PPO) (not BCBS HMO plans)

  • Aetna (not Aetna Better Health)

  • Evernorth/Cigna (No Cigna EAP benefits accepted as of 1/1/23)

  • United HealthCare, Optum, United Medical Resources (UMR), Student Resources, HealthPartners, All Savers Insurance, Oxford (No Optum EAP benefits accepted as of 8/1/23)

  • University of Illinois student insurance (Students must obtain authorization from their medical provider)

For clients using insurance, we do our best to provide an estimate of your benefits and potential costs. These are merely estimates and are not a guarantee of actual fees. We must process claims with your insurance company and then receive the information back from your insurance company about co-pays or other costs to the client. Prospective clients are encouraged to check with their insurance company about their coverage. (You may need to provide the NPI number of Transcend to check with your insurance company. Transcend’s NPI number is 1104450584).

We are out of network for other insurances. If you do not have one of the above insurance carriers and would like to utilize your insurance, you will need to pay out of pocket for services and then seek reimbursement from your insurance company. We can provide you with documentation to request reimbursement by your insurance company. We cannot guarantee you will be reimbursed by your insurance company nor at what rate you might be reimbursed.

If you will not be using insurance, our fees are as follows. Those not utilizing insurance are protected by the No Surprises Act and will receive a Good Faith Estimate for the anticipated cost of services.

Cancelation Policy

Please provide at least 24 hours notice for cancelations. When an appointment is made, that therapist's time is reserved. Cancelations made without 24 hours notice will be charged a fee of $50. Insurance does not cover missed session fees.

Testing services require a $200 deposit (after intake). In the event of a no-show or canceled appointment less than 24 hours before the appointment, this deposit is non-refundable. The deposit will be applied to any out-of-pocket costs for testing. A refund will be issued in the event that insurance covers applicable service charges.
