Every person deserves rest, healing, and joy. However, it can be difficult for us to sustain these things-- especially in such a high-pressure, fast-paced capitalist society that often leaves marginalized folks in the dust. I want to foster an identity-affirming space that is built on patience/nonlinear healing, conflict resolution, and a focus on human connection. Above all, I hope for our therapeutic space to be a deep breath of fresh air for anyone who seeks it.
As a trans, disabled, neurodivergent and BIPOC therapist, I feel strongly about fostering a collaborative space where folks feel free to speak their mind and show up as their most authentic selves. I am excited to work with people from all walks of life, particularly those who identify as trans/gender nonconforming, disabled, BIPOC, autistic adults, and survivors of relational trauma.
I pull from a variety of therapeutic approaches (e.g., psychodynamic, CBT, exposure therapy) depending on the personalized goals and needs of the individual. Most of all, I aim to move beyond the medical model of care and build on a more person-centered approach. Rather than pathologizing normal reactions to systemic oppression and state violence, I work to deconstruct stifling societal binaries and instead affirm the grey areas of humanity and the world. It’s important to consider the complex nuances that may emerge from your intersecting identities and experiences, and I wish to meet you wherever you are at in your healing journey.
I am currently accepting new clients for individual therapy (both virtual and in-person) and will be located at our Humboldt Park location starting May 2026. If my approach resonates with you, please feel free to reach out. I look forward to working with you to help you thrive as your most authentic self!
