Hi and welcome!

I work with concerns including complex trauma, depression, anxiety, ADHD, and life transitions like immigration. As a queer clinician, I welcome teens and adults from the LGBTQ+ community and other marginalized groups, embracing an intersectional, culturally responsive approach. I help you rewrite the story you’ve been taught about yourself and learn skills to bring your new story to life.

Pulling from schools of thought like narrative therapy, CBT, and attachment theory, I tailor my approach to you, considering how you're affected by not only your thoughts, feelings, and actions, but environmental and systemic factors as well. I also incorporate mindfulness and arts-based interventions with those who are interested.

In trauma-focused therapy, I explore "what happened to you" and never "what's wrong with you." My approach draws from Judith Herman's three-stage model of trauma recovery: establishing safety, processing the trauma (with or without words), and reconnecting with life and community by integrating the trauma into your story. With youth, I may also integrate core principles of TF-CBT, a treatment for children and teens with trauma that actively involves caregivers.

Creating a healing therapeutic relationship is central to my work. Please feel free to set up a phone consultation—I’d love to talk and answer any questions so you can decide if this will be the right fit!
