Oftentimes past experiences & relationships have led to our understanding of ourselves and the world, leading to us feeling hopeless or scared. Whether you have experienced trauma or are navigating significant life transitions, it can feel daunting to try to express how those may be impacting your day to day life. In therapy, I believe it is important to cultivate a warm, collaborative, and accepting therapeutic relationship to encourage progress for my clients. Many of my clients have found that my use of humor & focus on building trust helps to peer into the most painful aspects of life.
I approach therapy from a humanistic perspective meaning I believe that therapy should be used as a tool to help you live as your most authentic, fulfilled self. My role as your therapist is to bring my professional skillset to help you get there. I use trauma-informed approaches to assist clients with self-exploration & finding tools to cope with distress.
I have worked with clients ranging in areas of concern including anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and loss, autism spectrum disorder, eating disorders, and adjustment. I offer individual psychotherapy, couples therapy, as well as psychological testing and assessment.
