I approach each therapeutic relationship with authenticity and understanding. I strive to create a queer-affirming space to engage in therapy, and especially psychological testing and assessment. I utilize my years of experience working with diverse populations throughout private practice, forensic work, and local colleges and universities to inform my work and meet clients “where they’re at.” I love working with clients exploring their identities, going through life transitions, and navigating how to better relate to their world.
My style of therapy is focused on fostering an affirming, validating environment where clients can explore and challenge themselves to try new ways of relating to themselves and others. I utilized client-focused, trauma-informed techniques to help clients build tolerance for distress, regulate emotions, and find ways to understand themselves better. I aim to emphasize how context and intersectional identities within a client’s life can lead them to take on roles within their environment that can maintain patterns, both adaptive and not.
During my free time, I love cooking, hiking, continuing my own relationship with balance and health, and growing my collection of plants. I especially love diving into queer media (present and historical- it’s out there!) and to feel represented by creatives and queer-coding.
