Welcome! My name is Quinn, and I am currently in my final year in the Masters in Counseling program at Northwestern University! I am so glad you are here looking for a therapist.
I believe that most of our problems in life stem from our identity and how we relate to the world around us. Connection can be hard, and is made harder by the demands of the world around us. Knowing how we fit in, how we relate to others, and how to be our true self can be incredibly difficult. I want to give you the space to explore your identity, explore your relationships, and explore your innermost self. While our pasts do not define us, they do inform who we are and how we relate to the world around us. Our past experiences can loom over us, but once we explore them and work through those experiences, we can come out the other end as a whole realized person with a healthy identity and a bright future. The catharsis of processing the past is, to me, what drives lasting change.
I am trauma informed, LGBTQ+ affirming & informed, and love working with people from all backgrounds and experiences. I see both individuals and couples, and will gladly work from my person-centered lens to ensure that you are heard and affirmed.
In session we will delve into your past and present to learn how they are impacting you, and we will discover how to integrate both into building a healthy future. My clients describe me as empathetic, understanding, and insightful. Those are skills I will bring into my work with you, and together we will collaborate to help with what brings you to therapy. I love to use both humor and kindness to build a welcome environment where you can be your true self, and learn things about yourself. I cannot wait to meet you!
